Pastor Dexter George
“I know thy works, and thy labor, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars…” – Revelation 2:2
Using scripture as my guide, I made my determination that Apostle Dr. Austin J. de Bourg is called by the Lord as an Apostle by the way his ministry lines up with the apostles in scripture.
Determining a true Apostle of Jesus Christ is the responsibility of every Christian Assembly as we see in the Church at Ephesus that was commended by the Lord for doing so (Revelation 2:2). Jesus also said that we will know men by their fruits, and I have seen the fruits in this Apostle.
As a young minister, I have travelled with Apostle de Bourg and seen him teach and bring correction to the Church and to hundreds of Pastors and Ministers. I saw the apostolic anointing on his life at work in Haiti, Africa, India, Jamaica and at home in Trinidad and Tobago. He is anointed to raise up Ministers and to bring love and healing to them as well as to those that are poor in spirit, soul and body, and those with little or no hope.
From these experiences and from sitting at his feet of learning, his Ministry as an Apostle has changed my life and my personal relationship with God, both as a young believer and then as a Minister of The Gospel.
From him, I have learned how to arrive at truth and sound doctrine, and also how to preach the Word of God without compromise. I have gained deep insights into the God kind of love (agape) and into the knowledge of The Trinity of God. I have learned the ministry of counsel, spiritual intelligence and wisdom, and the love of service to the Lord and to others.
In his teaching, he continually reminded me that God said that man should not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from His mouth. He also helped me to understand that I should never use one truth to destroy another truth and should never use spiritual things and make them natural, and natural things to make them spiritual, but always keep everything in its proper context.
The thing in his life that stands out most for me is that he is never swayed by opposition, rejection and difficulties, but lets the Word of God guide his responses.
Apostle Dr. Austin J. de Bourg is, to me, a true apostle of Jesus Christ. A father to many fatherless children, he is my beloved and the beloved of many in every country to which he has taken his ministry.
I am humbled and honored to sit at the feet of learning of my spiritual father and mentor, as one of his young ministers.
